CELTIC, Northeast Gaul. Nervii. 2nd century BC. Quarter Stater (Gold, 13 mm, 1.94 g, 7 h), 'à la lyre' type. Vertical line with diagonal lines at various angles. Rev. Devolved charioteer driving biga to left; below horse, lyre above pellet. DT 95 var. (no pellet below lyre). LT 8697 var. (no pellet below lyre). SLM -. A rare variety. Struck from somewhat worn dies and with a minor old scrape on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
